Resumen de La traducció catalana del comentari de B. Ilicino als 'Triumphi' de Petrarca.: Estudi i edició

  The work consists of a comprehensive philological, historical and literary study of the Catalan translation of Bernardo Ilicino’s commentary on Petrarch’s Triumphs; the results of this investigation have given shape to the critical edition of the four chapters pertaining to Petrarch’s Triumphus Famae. After undertaking a laborious collatio, we have been able to identify the second edition of the Commento, printed in Venice in 1478, as the Italian model of the Catalan translation. The identification of this text allowed to establish a more precise date –post quem 1478– for the Catalan translation and helped foment an understanding of the nature of the translation and the translator’s process. A comparative study between the Catalan and other European translations of the commentary and/or the Triumphs has led to a better understanding of the European reception of Petrarch´s work, especially the Triumphi, during the second half of the XV century

  Aquest treball conté un estudi exhaustiu de la traducció catalana del comentari de B. Ilicino als Triumphi de Petrarca, tant des del punt de vista filològic com historicoliterari i lingüístic; els resultats d’aquest estudi es concreten en l'edició dels quatre capítols del T. Famae. Pel que fa els aspectes filològics del text, un dels resultats mes importants ha estat la definitiva identificació de l’incunable venecià de 1478 com a model de la traducció catalana: això ens ha permès establir un datació més concreta per la realització de la traducció i al mateix temps comprendre millor la feina del traductor. Des del punt de vista literari, particularment a través d’una contextualització de la traducció catalana dins del panorama europeu, el nostre estudi ens ha permès entendre més en detalls la contribució donada pel comentari en la difusió del mestratge petrarquista arreu d'Europa durant l’època immediatament precedent a l’esclat del Petrarquisme líric del segle XVI
