    Esta investigación tuvo como propósito generar estrategias de capacitación para el impulso del turismo agroecológico en la comunidad de Curbatí, municipio Pedraza, Barinas, Venezuela. Se empleó una metodología de Investigación-Acción Participativa, involucrando a los habitantes locales en todas las fases del proceso. Se realizaron entrevistas a profundidad a nueve actores clave para recopilar información sobre las necesidades y potencialidades de la comunidad. Los resultados preliminares revelaron un alto potencial turístico, pero también la prioridad de fortalecer las capacidades locales y aprovechar los recursos de manera sostenible. Se concluyó que las acciones de capacitación en turismo agroecológico son fundamentales para impulsar el desarrollo local, generando una oferta turística de calidad que beneficie tanto a la economía como al ambiente, y que promueva la participación comunitaria, el tejido social, la cultura, las practicas ancestrales, los saberes locales a través de un proceso de formación continua para la consolidación de un destino turístico sostenible y atractivo.

    The purpose of this research was to generate training strategies to promote agroecological tourism in the community of Curbatí, Pedraza municipality, Barinas, Venezuela. A participatory action research methodology was used, involving local inhabitants in all phases of the process. In-depth interviews were conducted with nine key actors to gather information on the needs and potential of the community. Preliminary results revealed a high tourism potential, but also the priority of strengthening local capacities and using resources in a sustainable manner. It is concluded that training actions in agroecological tourism are essential to promote local development, generating a quality tourism offer which benefits both the economy and the environment, and that promotes community participation, social network, culture, ancestral practices, and local knowledge through a process of continuous training for the consolidation of a sustainable and attractive tourist destination.
