This article focuses on exiled Cata lan filmmakers during and after the Spanish Civil War or who took refuge in another country. There was not a single exile because there were several, motivated by different reasons and causes: those committed to the Republic; those related to Fran coism; and those who tried to remain neutral in the existing social conflict despite the pressure.
