There is a curious collection of three complete pottery pieces (one vase and two jugs) exposed in the Núcleo Sede do Museu Municipal de Alcochere that can be fit with the blue-and-gold industries from the Spanish-Muslim of the Late Middle Age. Those pieces have been discovered unexpectedly in 1952, right in the historical center of Alcochete, and since that date, they have been considered a trustworthy testimony of the Arabian presence in Alcochete. Despite the unknown archaeological context, the beauty and the characteristics of those pieces are as so peculiar that they deserve the deep study that we hereby present.
