The purpose of this article is lo review Ihe state of Ihe radiotherapy oncology infrastructure in Spain from the data published lo date, according lo which, up to the year 2000, our country showed significant deficiencies both at the medical specialists level as well as the treatment unit level. Since Then a considerable effort has been made both on Ihe part of Ihe different administrations as well as private investment, for Ihe opening of new radiothenapic oncology departments with Their corresponding human team and instrumentation as well as Ihe replacement of Ihe obsolete treatments units.
