Resumen de El estilo de aprendizaje de los alumnos de psicologiía de la educación

  El estilo de enseñanza y aprendizaje describe las preferencias de los profesores y de los alumnos en diversos parámetros de la práctica educativa, como por ejemplo, el tipo de contenido que se enseña y se aprende, la metodología instruccional, la naturaleza y la frecuencia de la ayuda pedagógica, los agrupamientos, la evaluación, etc. En el presente estudio, se ha analizado el estilo de aprendizaje de los estudiantes del itinerario de Psicología de la Educación de la Facultad de Psicología, y se ha podido comprobar que tienen un perfil distinto al de la población general. Aproximadamente la mitad de ellos prefiere aprender contenido declarativo, mientras que, la otra mitad se decanta por el contenido procedimental, todos ellos se sienten más cómodos cuando pueden intervenir en clase y hablar para construir conocimiento, y esperan que el profesor se aproxime a ellos emocionalmente, preocupándose por su bienestar, académico y profesional.

  The learning and teaching style describes the student and teacher preferences in a great deal of variables related with educational practice as, for example, types of knowledge, instructional methodology, pedagogical help, grouping, or kinds and frequency of assessment. The aim of the present paper is to analyse the learning style of a university group of students, engaged in Educational Psychology, an area of expertise in the Degree Course of Psychology. Results show that the average learning style of our students is different from the average learning style in the general population, that about a fifty per cent of the Educational Psychology learners prefers the theoretical knowledge, while the other fifty per cent, feel more comfortable working with practical contents, that all of them need to talk while learning, and enjoy sharing their knowledge with others, and last but not least, that our students expect we will be sympathetically or emotionally around them, we will worry for them, and we will care about them.
