  • In this article, they are mentioned the investigational papers that have been carried out in the institute of Biomedicina, about the development of a vaccine against American Cutaneous Leishmaniasis. These papers have been based on the spectrum of clinical-immunological manifestations of the illness, as well as their possible application in inmunoprophylaxis, by the study of possible action mechanisms of the mixture of dead Leishmania promastigotes plus viable Bacillus of Calmette-Guerin, that are the components of the vaccine developed in this institute.
