The Mediterranean fruit fly, Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann) (Diptera, Tephritidae), constitutes one of the most important pests on fruit trees in Andalucía (Southern Spain). In the province of Granada coast, a new industry to extract pulp of fruits of Anona cherimola Miller (Anonnaceae) to make several kinds of lacteous preparations is actually developing. Due to this fact, seeds are a subproduct of the cited activity, so bioassays on the addition of different doses of whole triturated seeds to the semiartificial rearing diet of the dipteran were carryed out. Results indicate that the cited product has an antifeedant activity on larvae of the cited pest
