Resumen de Reflexiones sobre el malestar en la cultura de la sociedad chilena actual

Este trabajo está basado en una conferencia pronunciada por el autor en el II Seminario de Psicoterapia Analítica de Grupo, organizado por la Universidad Internacional SEK en diciembre de 1998. Se sugiere que no puede haber dudas en cuanto a que la sociedad chilena sufre de un profundo malestar, tanto a nivel de la formación social como un todo como a nivel de la experiencia individual. El propósito de este artículo es mostrar que la articulación de conceptos psicoanalíticos como pulsión y representación, con las nociones marxistas de ideología y alineación, puede entregar un marco de referencias teórico para una comprensión críticas de fenómenos correlacionados vinculados a una falla en la elaboración simbólica de eventos traumáticos y cambiantes en la historia chilena de los últimos años.

This paper is based upon a conference pronounced by the author at the 2nd International Seminar on Group Analytical Psychotherapy, organized by Universidad International SEK, held in december 1998. It is suggested that there can be no doubts about the fact that the chilean society is currently suffering from a deep discontent, both at the level of social formation as a whole and at the level of individual experience as well. The purpose of this article is show that the articulation of psychoanalytical concepts, such as drive and representation, with the marxian notions of ideology and alienation, can provide a theoretical framework to a critical understanding of correlated phenomena linked to the fail in symbolic working-through of changing and traumatic events in recent chilean history.
