La Universidad española se encuentra en un momento trascendental, como consecuencia de los cambios y adaptaciones que exige a esta institución una sociedad también cambiante. Sin duda alguna, la Universidad sabrá adaptarse y responder, igual que lo ha hecho a lo largo de su andadura histórica, a la labor que la sociedad le ha encomendado: situarse a la vanguardia del conocimiento, en tanto se dedica a la enseñanza superior y la investigación.

Spanish university is going now through a significant phase, as a result of the changes and adaptations that are demanded to this institution by an also changing society. There can be no doubt that the University will know how to adapt and face, as it has one in the past, the task commended to it by society: to be in the vanguard if knowledge, while it carries on with teaching and researching. This work analyses the present situation of the university education in Spain, and it proposes some academic management and finantial reforms, in order to facilitate such transformation, while it maintains its quality and high level.
