Resumen de Cuentos de estrellas, valor y formalidad

Valeria Camporesi

  • The essays analyzes a small number of films directly inspired by falangist ideology which were produced in francoist Spain between the late 1940s and the 1960s. Taken up for analysis is the first feature cartoon film made in Spain, Garbancito de la Mancha, and selected adaptations of J.M. Sánchez Silva, the author of Marcelino pan y vino, and Surcos, a neorealist melodrama. The aim has been to establish a tentative picture of the narrative role performed by children as it emerges from such diverse films, as well as to trace the historical evolution and defining characters, in order to draw conclusions regarding the abstract persistence and basic values of falangism.
