Resumen de Manejo prehospitalario del paciente candidato a Código Ictus en Unidades de Soporte Vital Báscio
The cerebrovascular pathology is an important reason of disease and mortality in Spain and it represents a sanitary emergency. The demonstrated benefits of the precocious reperfusion, as the treatment in some cases of stroke, have provoked that, from 2004 they have settled into the emergency systems on the Basque Country, a new standarized performance procedure called Stroke Chain. Into prehospitalary emergencies, Basic Life Support suppliers are the managers of primary valuation of the possible cases of stroke, being the principal performance bases the precocious identification of alarm signs and fast movement to a useful center to start fibrinolysis as soon as possible in indicated cases, the principal bases of the Ictus Code system.
