A pesar del camino recorrido desde la incorporación de las Escuelas Superiores de Bellas Artes en la Universidad persiste la idea generalizada de la falta de un marco específico de lo que debe considerarse investigación. El objetivo del presente trabajo consiste en aportar cierto tipo de reflexiones que justifiquen el establecimiento de un modelo de investigación universitaria en Bellas Artes, que si bien está basado en un conjunto de rasgos propios, debe sustentarse en la idea básica de investigación común a todas las disciplinas y áreas integradas en la universidad

In spite of the ground covered since the Higher Education Schools of Art were incorporated into the University, there is still the general idea that there is no specific benchmark as to what should be considered as Research. The aim of this paper is to offer a certain type of thinking that justifies the establishment of a model for university research in the Fine Arts which, although based on a set of features which are peculiar to it, must be sustained on the basic idea of research which is common to all areas and disciplines within the university.
