Levels of metabolizable energy in diets for brown-egg layers under Brazil deep south winter conditions

  • The objective was to study energetic diets concentrations from 2450 to 2750 kcal ME/kg influence on Hisex Brown straim brown-eggs layers performance under Pelotas ¿ RS, Brazil area winter conditions. A completely randomized design was used, and data interpretation was dove through analysis of variance and polynomial regression. No statistical significance was found for egg weight, egg mass, diet consumption and body weight, ME consumption and feed conversion. It was concluded that best answers were obtained for 2550 and 2650 kcal ME/kg diet intermediate levels.
