    El pintor Hernando de Ávila aun presenta ciertas lagunas tanto biográficas como artísticas. La publicación de su testamento e inventario de bienes, junto a la almoneda de los mismos, contribuirá a un mejor conocimiento del personaje, su entorno familiar y profesional. En este sentido, tiene especial interés el estudio de su biblioteca, teniendo en cuenta su condición de teórico del arte.

The find out of his last will, inventory and auction will help to improve the knowledge of his personality, family circle and colleagues. The study of his library must be of special interest thinking about the fact that he was the author of an art treatise.
