O obxectivo da comunicación é establecer un modelo de investigación que combina as aportacións teóricas do Xornalismo Especializado e a metodoloxía e perspectiva da Análise Crítica do Discurso. A argumentación baséase en que as dúas disciplinas teñen obxectivos concordantes, que se poderían resumir en promover a democratización da información (en dous sentidos: en primeiro lugar favorecer o acceso de tódolos actores sociais -e non só as elites con poder- aos contidos dos medios de comunicación, e polo tanto ao discurso público; e en segundo, apoiar a democracia como sistema político, mediante a formación dunha cultura cívica e de cidadáns reflexivos e críticos). O obxecto da investigación na que se aplicará este modelo é o tratamento da información e a opinión en La Voz de Galicia sobre o debate e aprobación da Constitución Europea. O modelo de investigación toma do Xornalismo Especializado a preocupación pola transmisión do coñecemento complexo dun modo accesible a públicos amplos, de especial importancia ó referirmonos a un fenómeno tan complicado como a Constitución Europea. E da Análise Crítica do Discurso a preocupación pola transmisión da ideoloxía e da dominación por medio da linguaxe (en forma de control da sociedade por parte das elites con poder).

The objective of the communication is to establish an investigation model that combines the theoretical contributions of the Specialized Journalism and the methodology and perspective of the Critical Analysis of the Speech. The argumentation is based on which the two disciplines have concordant objectives, that could be summarized in promoting the democratization of the information (in two-way traffic: in the first place to favor the access of all the social agents - and not only the elites with power- to the contents of mass media, and therefore to the public speech; 393 and in second, to support the democracy like political system, by means of the formation of a civic culture and of reflective and critical citizens). The object of the investigation in which this model will be applied is the data processing and the opinion in La Voz de Galicia on the discussion and approval of the European Constitution. The investigation model takes from the Specialized Journalism the preoccupation by the transmission of the complex knowledge of an accessible way to ample public, of special importance when referring us to a as complicated phenomenon as the European Constitution. And of the Critical Analysis of the Speech the preoccupation by the transmission of the ideology and the domination by means of the language (in form of control of the society on the part of the elites with power).
