La Gesta del Héroe (un estudio de hermenéutica cinematográfica II)

    En este escrito se aplican las herramientas de análisis de la hermenéutica cinematográfica (término acuñado por el autor en un artículo publicado en la Revista de Humanidades no. 5) a la cinta The Truman Show. Elementso míticos y psicológicos permiten concluir que la cinta posee las suficientes características para considerarla un ejemplo contemporáneo de la clásica gesta heróica, con algunas características de los cuentos de hadas tradicionales. Esta génesis del héroe tiene como trasfondo más profundo el enfrentamiento de lso arquetipos solares y lunares, con la victoria de estos últimos. El artículo concluye con unas disgresiones de orden metafísico (astronómico y numerológico) que permiten aproximarse a pasajes de la cinta no explicables por otro medio. Aproximaciones etimológicas arrojan luz adicional sobre el ser (y quehacer) de los personajes enla cinta.

    In this paper the tools of analysis of movie hermeneutical (a term coined by the author in an article published in Humanities Magazine (Revista de Humanidades no. 5) in the film The Truman Show. Mythic and psychological elements allow us to conclude that the movie has enough characteristics to be considered a contemporary example of the classical heroic courage, with some characteristics of traditional fairy tales. This genesis of the hero has a deeper background, one of the facing off between solar and lunar archetypes, with the victory of the latter. The article concludes with metaphysical digressions (astronomy and numerology) that allow an approximation to passages of the film not explainable through any other medium.
