    La Declaració d'una Etica Mundial, a debat [JORDI GIRÓ I PARÍS] La Declaració d'una Ètica Mundial tracta d'establir una ética mínima, és a dir, aquell reducte de principis ètics comuns que comparteixen totes les ètiques de les grans ideologies, escoles filosòfiques o religions, anomenades ètiques de màxims, i que ens queda com a coincidència compartida després de superposar, o entrecreuar, les propostes de cadascuna d'elles. El contingut d'aquest article parteix d'una convicció fonamental, «tot ésser huma ha de ser tractat humanament», i es basa en les formulacions de la regla d'or ¿tracta els altres com t'agradaria ser tractat a tu¿ presents en les diverses tradicions religioses. A més, postula quatre instruccions inamovibles la versió en negatiu de les quals seria aquesta: «No mataras, no robaras, no mentiras i no et prostituiràs (no fornicaras)», mentre que en positiu seria: «Respecta la vida. Obra amb justicia i lleialtat. Parla i actua sincerament. Respecteuvos i estimeu-vos els uns als altres». Aquestes instruccions impliquen el desenvolupament d'una cultura de la no-violència, de la solidaritat, la tolerancia i la igualtat de drets, comuna a totes les religions.

    The Declaration of a worldwide Ethic, up for debate [JORDI GIRÓ I PARÍS] The Declaration of a Worldwide Ethic aims to establish a minimum ethic, or in other words, that redoubt of common ethical principles shared by all ethics of the great ideologies, philosophical schools or religions, known as maximum ethics, and remains as a shared coincidence after superposing, or interweaving, the proposals of each one of them. The content of this article is based on a fundamental conviction, «all human beings must be treated humanely», and is based on the formulations of the golden rule ¿do unto others as you would have them do unto you¿ which is present in the different religious traditions. Moreover, it advocated four unmovable instructions, whose negative version would be: «Thou shall not kill, thou shall not steal, thou shall not bear false witness and thou shall not prostitute yourself (thou shall not fornicate)», whereas the positive one would be «Respect life. Act fairly and faithfully. Talk and act sincerely. Respect and love one another». These instructions entail the development of a culture of nonviolence, of solidarity, tolerance and equal rights, common to all religions.
