    El Archipiélago Canario constituye una avanzadilla de Europa en el Atlántico. El valor estratégico de Canarias es evidente, situadas a cortas singladuras de Europa, mirando al África y en el camino hacia América, han sido siempre lugar de escala para quienes cruzan aquella parte del mar. El turismo en Canarias constituye, dentro de la vida de la región, un hecho de caracteres relevantes, al margen de posibles desequilibrios coyunturales o de fallos en su planteamiento infraestructural.

    Thanks to the touristic boom the Canary island have recovered again their oíd spell of paradisiaca! lands. The tourist flow towards the islands has stood during the last years a growing increase. The growth of the demand has created on the supply side situations which is necessary to avoid.

    The main problems which arise are the following: land especulation; law violation by die provate enterprise of the regulations set forth by the Administration;

    overdeveloptnenits; environamental and landscape attempts due to a clear disregard of urban techniques and remarkable power of tour operators.

    All the above mentioned, shows the nessity of an important planing in order necessity to carrect the mistakes, and aiming to present the Canary islands to the internarional tourist market as a complete and attractive product.

    Tourists from all over the world come to the Islands leaded by geological, geographical and climatic reasons. Thus, it is only natural that they should be reinforced with encouragement and convinient regulations.
