Resumen de Medida de la zona avascular foveolar (ZAF) en pacientes diabéticos

  Objetivo: Valorar la medida de la ZAF en pacientes diabéticos, teniendo en cuenta el tiempo de duración de la diabetes y el tipo de retinopatía.

  Material y Métodos: En el estudio participan 30 pacientes, 12 con diabetes tipo 1 y 18 con diabetes tipo 2. Tras una exploración oftalmológica completa, se les clasifica según el tipo de retinopatía y se les efectúa una angiografía fluoresceínica midiendo la ZAF durante la fase arteriovenosa mediante el sistema Imaginet de TOPCON 2000.

  Resultados: El área de la zona avascular foveolar aparece aumentada de tamaño correspondiendo con la severidad de la retinopatía y el tiempo de duración de la diabetes.

  Purpose: To evaluate the measure of the ZAF in diabetic patients, keeping in mind the time of duration of the diabetes and the type of Retinopathy.

  Material and Methods: We studied 30 patients, 12 with diabetes type 1 and 18 with diabetes type 2. The foveal avascular zone was measured angiographically during arteriovenous phase with Imagenet System Topcon 2000, after we made ophthalmological exploration and classifies them according to the stage of retinopathy.

  Results: The area of the foveal avascular zone appears increased from size corresponding with the severity of the retinopathy and the time of duration of the diabetes.
