El queratocono es una de las queratopatías más frecuentes en la práctica clínica, su principal inconveniente a la hora de compensar dióptricamente es su carácter irregular e inestable por lo cual y a partir del grado II es recomendable el uso de lentes de contacto de tipo rígidas. Estas muchas veces no son toleradas por el paciente lo cual nos conduce a buscar métodos visuales igualmente efectivos y a la vez fácilmente soportables por el paciente.

One of the most distrophies in the clinical practice is the keratoconus. Its main desadventage in relation to determinate te best dioptrical correction is its irregular shape and its no stable condition. Therefore, the use of rigid contact lens in suitable for grade IIand stepper grades cases. At times, a suitable weared is not possible, because the patient may be not adapted. This situation make us to aply other visual methods, similarly effective, and at the same time, easilly supported by the patient.
