Resumen de El pensamiento político postmoderno en América Latina

En este artículo se analiza la forma que el actual debate sobre la postmodernidad ha tomado en América Latina desde la perspectiva de la teoría política contemporánea. El objetivo es ofrecer una visión general del momento en el que se encuentra ese debate y de su vinculación con los grandes temas articuladores del discurso político postmoderno. La conclusión a la que se llega es que el enorme eco que el debate sobre la postmodemidad ha alcanzado en América Latina no se limita a realizar una recepción pasiva de los conceptos y modos de razonar lo político de la postmodernidad sino que, muy al contrario, esos nuevos conceptos se han convertido en fructíferas herramientas intelectuales con las que repensar la nación, el Estado, la identidad, la realidad latinoamericana.

This article examines the way that the contemporary debate on the postmodernity has taken in Latin America from a contemporary political thought perspective. The article 's main objective is to show a general vision of that debate and its links with the main subjects ofpostmodemity political discourse. The analysis shows that the great repercussion of that thesis in Latin America is not limited to a passive reception but, on the contrary, these new concepts and ways of thinking the political subjects are taken as fruitful intellectual tools to re-think the nation, the State, the identity, the reality in Latin America.
