    El presente artículo está orientado a analizar la importancia que tuvo la moneda en Roma, específi camente al fi nal de la República y el comienzo del Imperio, es decir, el período cuando Augusto tendría su participación política más relevante, en el que se sirvió de las imágenes para poder consolidar una nueva visión política, que cambiaría el estadio de caos que estaba viviendo Roma en ese momento.
