This paper deals with the meaning of the perceptual verb 'see' as a contribution to the formulation of its semantic theory. It seems clear that a complete study of its meaning will have to take into account the aspectual condition of the verb, rather stative in the case of perceiving with the eyes, physically or mentally, and agentive in the case of performing an action. In particular, we pay attention to the net of semantic and lexical relations of hyponymy and complementarity that are found between 'see' and 'look', representing them in the chart of their components.
