Resumen de El tránsito de Yucatán de provincia a entidad federativa (1821-1825): de la independencia a la Constitución
In the context of the transitional process of New Spain turning into an independent nation, this paper focuses on Yucatan, a province where the problem of defining sovereignty has an early origin, starting in 1821, when its emancipation of Spain was proc1aimed. Here, we examine Yucatan's political path since the creation of the diputación provincial in 1813 to the promulgation of its own constitution in 1825. The objective is to understand, within the framework of the process of constructing the nation, how the levels of sovereignty were defined, and how the state expressed the terms of its incorporation to the first federal project.
