    La comprensión e interpretación de los tres últimos capítulos del libro de Daniel siempre ha sido un desafío para la iglesia. Especialmente la interpretación del contenido profético central de esta porción bíblica, entiéndase la perícopa 11:2a-12:3 con los misteriosos reyes del Norte y del Sur. Esta sección permanece como una porción superficialmente estudiada en la literatura adventista. La presente investigación parte de la premisa que uno de los pasos de la exégesis es el trabajo gramatical y sintáctico del texto a estudiar. Además el trabajo estructural provee una mejor com-prensión del pasaje y el flujo de pensamientos en el mismo. Con estos elementos establecidos, se propondrán nueve principios y conceptos básicos para la mejor comprensión de Daniel 10 al 12. Esta investigación es un paso importante hacia una comprensión de esta sección profética clave.

    The understanding and interpretation of the last three chapters of the book of Daniel have always been a challenge to the church. Particularly, the interpretation of the central prophetic content of Dan 11:2a-12:3, referring to the mysterious kings of the North and the South, has been obscure. It has been either studied superficially or totally ignored in Adventist literature. The present study rec-ognizes the basic importance of the grammatical and syntactical work in the exegetical enterprise. Furthermore, it demonstrates that structural analysis provides a better comprehension of the pas-sage and the flow of thoughts contained in it. Based on these nine principles and basic concepts for a better understanding of Daniel 10-12 are proposed. It is hoped that these principles will facilitate a more complete appreciation of this important prophetic section.
