Resumen de Dificultades de aprendizaje de la Nomenclatura geocronológica

El objeto de la presente nota es reflexionar sobre las dificultades del aprendizaje de la nomenclatura cronoestratigráfica que encuentran los alumnos; algunas de éstas, al menos, parecen depender de la poca homogeneidad de dicha nomenclatura, resultado de la historia que ha seguido su confección. Consecuentemente, se ofrece a los profesores d,e Geología, una terminologla para los Eones, las Eras y sus Periodos, que evita esa heterogenidad y que parece haber encontrado eco en el órgano internacional correspondiente.

The aim of this paper is to reflect on the difficulties that students find in the learning of the crhono-stratigraphic nomenclature. At least some of these difficulties seem to depend on the lack of homogeneity resulting from the history of the making of that nomenclature already mentioned. Consequently the Geology Profesors (andLecturers) are offered a terminology for geologicalAeons, Eras and Periods which avoid heterogeneity and which seem to have found echo in the corresponding /nternational Organization.
