Zedelika y Lendoño de Arriba: dos aldeas altomedievales en Orduña. Nuevas aportaciones a la configuración del poblamiento altomedieval

    Las intervenciones arqueológicas efectuadas en la ermita de San Román de Zedelika y la iglesia de San Pedro de Lendoño de Arriba, ambas en el término municipal de Orduña, se enmarcan dentro de un proyecto más amplio que tiene por objeto determinar la génesis del poblamiento altomedieval en el valle de Orduña. En el caso concreto de San Román, ha permitido documentar cómo entre los siglos VIII al XI existía una necrópolis altomedieval que debe interpretarse como la prueba palpable de la primitiva aldea de Zedelika, dotada de una iglesia parroquial que, sin embargo, acabará convertida en simple ermita hacia el siglo XI o la mitad del siglo XII, momento constatado por el abandono de esta necrópolis. Por su parte, la iglesia de San Pedro ha arrojado resultados negativos en cuanto a la presencia de estructuras, depósitos o sepulturas que demuestren la existencia de un templo o necrópolis medieval en sus inmediaciones. No obstante, sí se pudo documentar un nivel de ocupación fechado entre los siglos VIII al X que permite confirmar la existencia de un asentamiento en Lendoño de Arriba desde, al menos, época altomedieval.

    Ordufiako Goi Erdi Aroko populatzearen genesia ezagutzea helburu duen proiektu zabalago baten testuin- ~ iguruan kokatzen dira Orduñako Zedelikako San Roman baselizan eta Lendoño Goiko San Pedro elizan burutu diren arkeologi jarduerak. San Romanen kasuan, VIII. eta XI. mendeetako nekropolia azaleratu da, Goi Erdi Aroan Zedelikan zegoen herrixka primitiboaren aztarna delarik. Nekropoliaren abandonuak agerian utzi duenez, garai hartan Zedelikak zeukan parrokia baseliza bihurtu XI. mende inguruan edo XII. mendearen erdi aidera. Bestalde, San Pedroko elizan ez da azaldu inguruetan existitu zitekeen Erdi Aroko tenplu edo nekropoliaren egitura, metaketa edo hilobien arrastorik. Hala ere, VIII—XI. mendeen inguruko okupazio maila bat dokumentatu da, Goi Erdi Aroan Lendoño Goikoan kokatutako finkamenduaren adierazgarri.

    The archaeological interventions made in the hermitage of San Román de Zedelika and the church of San Pedro de Lendoño de Arriba, both in the municipal term of Orduña, are framed inside a wider project that lias for object to determine the genesis of settlement high medieval in the valley of Orduña. In the concrete case of San Román, it has allowed to document how among the centuries VIII to the XI one existed a cemetery high medieval that should be interpreted as the palpable test of the primitive village of Zedelika, endowed with a parochial church that, however, it will end up transformed into simple hermitage toward the XI century or the la half of the XII century, moment verified by the abandonment of this cemetery. On the other hand, San Pedro's church has thrown negative results as for the presence of structures, deposits or sepulchres that demonstrate the existence of a temple or medieval cemetery. Nevertheless, yes you could document an occupation level dated among the centuries VIII to the X that allows to confirm the existence of an establishment in Lendoño de Arriba from, at least, age high medieval.
