Este artículo pretende ser un recorrido por la lectura infantil y juvenil desde su origen hasta la actualidad. Para ello nos detendremos en las principales autores y obras, así como en las concepciones literarias derivadas de las mismas. Igualmente, nos interesa destacar los esfuerzos realizados en la actualidad por la administración educativa y cultural para motivar y crear hábitos lectores en incipientes receptores, sin abandonar el compromiso que debe adquirir el entorno familiar en este proceso.

This article aims to be a journey through children's and young people's reading from its origin to the present day. To do this, we will focus on the main authors and works, as well as on the literary conceptions derived from them. Likewise, we are interested in highlighting the efforts currently made by the educational and cultural administration to motivate and create reading habits in incipient recipients, without abandoning the commitment that the family environment must acquire in this process.
