Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn and Cd concentrations have been analyzed in 14 water samples in three cruises along of a estuary system affected by acid mixing processes. In the sectors of the estuary where the mixing processes takes place, Fe and heavy metals dissolved show to a behaviour non-conservativo vs pH and the conductivity.
Even so the water of the marine zone contains still metal concentrations greater than typically marine waters.
