Tras una breve presentación de la novela El misterioso caballero del Libro Sagrado de Antón Dóncev, el artículo estudia el tratamiento que el autor da al tiempo. Hay un punto de partida en el que la acción se bifurca y se abre para abarcar simultáneamente el momento de la escritura de las memorias del protagonista y los últimos 30 años de su vida, pero este punto no coincide ni con el principio, ni con el final de la obra. El tiempo se convierte en un verdadero recurso narrativo que cumple con la función de centrar y mantener el interés del lector.

After a brief presentation of the novel The Mysterious Knight of the Sacred Book of Antón Dóncev the article studies the treatment that the author gives the time. There is a departure point in which the action is branched off and opened simultaneously to include the moment of the writing of the memories of the protagonist and the last 30 years of his life but this point does not agree nor with the principIe, nor with the end of the novel. The time becomes a true narrative resource that fulfills the function to center and to maintain the interest of the reader.
