  En 1983, el C.N.E.G.P. toma la decisión de organizar a nivel nacional y periódicamente , unas jornadas técnicas sobre presas. El propósito de estas jornadas era, por una parte,dotar a los ingenieros españoles de un foro para el intercambio y difusión de conocimientos en la tecnología de presas,y por otra parte contribuir a informar a la sociedad de los grandes temas de política hidráulica. Se exponen y comentan los temas tratados asi como el desarrollo de las siete jornadas celebradas entre 1985 y 2002, y también el motivo por el cual el período de tiempo transcurrido entre las ultimas jornadas celebradas y las actuales es mayor del habitual.

  In 1983 the Spanish National Committee on Large Dams (CNEGP) took the decision to organize a series of conferences on dams at a national level and over regular intervals. The purpose of these conferences was to provide Spanish engineers with a forum for the exchange and spreading of technological knowledge of dams and to help inform the public on the leading questions concerning water policy. The article lays out and describes the subject matters and development of the seven conferences held between 1985 and 2002 and explains the reason for the greater lapse in time between the last conference and the present conference.
