La migración digital es un proceso en plena expansión. En este artículo se estudia qué es lo que está pasando entre los migrantes digitales de ayer y los nativos digitales de hoy. La propuesta es que la migración digital no puede reducirse únicamente a asuntos de convergencia tecnológica, sino que también debe estudiar la actual brecha alfabeto-generacional y el problema de la discontinuidad epistemológica en que hoy vivimos. Sin esto es imposible entender qué está pasando hoy con la educación y la cultura en la generación de los nativos digitales.

Digital migration is an ongoing process. This article studies what is happening between the yesterday digital migrants and today digital natives. Digital migration cannot be reduced to just technological convergence affairs,but it should also explore the generational gap between the natives and themigrants, and the issues regarding epistemological discontinuity, which weall have to deal with. Without this knowledge, it is impossible to understandwhat is happening with today’s digital native generation education and culture.
