  • This paper puts together various documents, upon stone and clay, coming from Babylonia and the middle Euphrates valley to the Mediterranean sea, dated from Ur-Lumma's first year downwards to Nebuchadnezzar's reign. Some of them give faint hints only, others are of an unexpected importance. Yet, all of them bring unpublished testimonies enlightening historical cases.
