• Corollary 2 of our paper The algebraic dimension of linear metric spaces and Baire properties of their hyperspaces. Rev. R. Acad. Cien. Serie A. Mat. 100 (2006), 31-37 was known. It follows from Proposition VIII.2.2 in the book [C. Bessaga and A. Pe³czy´nski, Selected topics in infinite-dimensional topology, Monografie Matematyczne, Warszawa, 1975]. We thank Z. Lipecki who call our attention to this theorem.

  Let us note that our topological approach to this fact allows to obtain new results on Baire hyperspaces.
