Análisis del proceso de duelo por la pérdida de la libertad en miembros de la policía nacional de Colombia

    El documento que se presenta aquí es el producto de la elaboración teórica realizada por el autor con base en la investigación llevada a cabo, en el marco del trabajo del Grupo de Investigación Muerte y Duelo en el Contexto Colombiano de la Universidad Manuela Beltrán de Bogotá. En esta investigación, realizada con la colaboración de las estudiantes Sandra Henao y Marisol Albarracín, se realizo la entrevista a 10 miembros activos de la Policía Nacional que vivieron la experiencia del secuestro por la guerrilla durante un lapso de tiempo que osciló entre noviembre de 1998 y junio de 00 y que fueron liberados, en su mayoría, (9 de los 10) en el marco del acuerdo humanitario convenido entre el gobierno del Presidente Andrés Pastrana y el grupo insurgente autodenominado Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia � FARC que se llevo a cabo en Junio de 001. Con base en la información obtenida en las entrevistas, la cual se categorizó entre elementos facilitadores e inhibidores del proceso de elaboración del duelo, se examinaron los factores incidentes y se confronto lo hallado con la literatura existente, encontrando que hay diferencias sustanciales respecto de la vivencia del secuestro en el caso de civiles A partir de esto se realizo una elaboración teórica que intenta describir los momentos por los que atraviesan los miembros de la fuerza publica que han sido secuestrados identificando que aspectos de su vida y su entorno les ayudo a afrontar positivamente la experiencia y que aspectos les dificultaron y obstaculizaron el proceso de elaboración psicológica de la experiencia.

    The present document is the product of the theoretical elaboration realized by the author with base in the investigation led to end, in the frame of the work of the Investigacion�s Group of Death and Grief in the Colombian Context of the University Manuela Beltrán of Bogota. In this investigation which was realized with the collaboration of the students Sandra Henao y Marisol Albarracín, 10 active members of the National Police were interviewed, who lived through the kidnapping experience by the guerrilla warfare during a space of time that ranged between November, 1998 and June, 2002 and that almost all of them were liberated, (9 of the 10) in the frame of the humanitarian agreement accorded between the government of the President Andrés Pastrana and the group insurgent Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia autonamed - (FARC) which was realized in June, 2001. With base in the information obtained in the interviews, which was categorized between facilitators and inhibiting elements of the process of elaboration of the grief, the incidental factors were examined and confronted the results with the existing literature, finding that there are substantial differences with relation to the experience of the kidnapping in cases of civil people. From this was realized a theoretical elaboration that tries to describe the moments for which the members of the public force that have been kidnapped identifying that aspects of their life and their environment help them to confronted positively their experience and that aspects impeded and prevented them the process of psychological production(elaboration) of the experience.
