    El presente artículo pretende señalar y describir algunas claves estéticas que definen el perfil del teatro latinoamericano finisecular. La lectura de tal proceso es asumida a la luz de conceptos claves de la discusión actual: identidad, globalización y postmodernidad. Finalmente, hay una apertura crítica a la poética del dramaturgo y director chileno Ramón Griffero.

    The present article aims at pointing out and describing some aesthetic keys that define the profile of Latin American Theatre at he end of the century. The reading of such a process is assumed in the light of fundamental concepts in the present discussion: Identity, globalization and postmodernity. Finally, there is a critical posture to the practice of the Chilean dramatist Ramón Griffero.
