  Esta investigación documental tiene como propósito analizar las implicaciones que las tecnologías de información y comunicación tienen en las nuevas Universidades Politécnicas. Su importancia radica en dar un nuevo enfoque que responda a la formación de profesionales requeridos por el nuevo modelo de desarrollo integral y endógeno del país a través de la incorporación de redes telemáticas, que le permita a los profesores desarrollar sus actividades formativas y de interacción comunicativa con sus alumnos mas allá de los limites espacio-temporal donde ambos se ubiquen. Como conclusión las tecnologías de información y comunicación se presentan como alternativas para promover la renovación en los ambientes educativos para que, tanto alumnos como docentes aprendan a aprender y a desarrollar su pensamiento y habilidades contribuyendo a su perfeccionamiento en el uso de nuevas técnicas, estrategias metodológicas y didácticas, pedagógicas y andragógicas.

  This investigation documentary analyze the implications that the new technologies of information and communication have in the process of transformation from University Institutes of Technology to Polytechnic Universities and the role that Carries out the professor and the student in the formative process, its importance comes out giving a new approach that responds to the new demands and exigencies of the Venezuelan society. The methodology used for boarding the object of study has been of documentary and predictive type, that is to say, prognosis through the technique of scenes. A conclusion is that the new technologies of information and communication appear as alternatives to promote the renovation in educative atmospheres so that, as much students as teachers learn to learn and to develop his thought and abilities, contributing to their improvement in the use of new techniques, methodological and didactic, pedagogical and andragogic strategies.
