The Training and Development Agency for Schools in England provided funding to encourage schools to create more paired placements for PGCE science trainees. This report describes how two science co-tutors prepared trainees for sharing a class and the reflections of these trainees on how they collaboratively planned and taught their shared class. The analysis of questionnaires, reflective diaries and focus meetings provided an opportunity to begin to identify models of practice for paired placements.
