    La Oficina Central de Estadística de Hungría ha estado realizando encuestas anuales sobre el Tercer Sector desde 1993. Durante los últimos 15 años se ha desarrollado un método de recogida y procesamiento de datos. El estudio presenta no sólo la metodología, sino su función en la práctica describiendo las características de la esfera civil húngara. Este proceso se realiza mediante diferentes indicadores estadísticos que se refieren a 2006 y a series de tiempo. Los datos sobre el tamaño, composición, finanzas y recursos humanos del sector muestran una imagen satisfactoria para los expertos extranjeros que tienen interés en la investigación del Tercer Sector húngaro.

    The Hungarian Central Statistical Office has been carrying out annual surveys on the nonprofit sector since 1993. A method of data collection and processing has been developed for the last 15 years. The study presents not only the methodology, but its function in the practice describing the features of the Hungarian civil sphere. This process is performed by different statistical indicators referring to 2006 and in time series. The data on the size, composition, finance and human resources of the sector can show a satisfying picture to foreign experts having interest in Hungarian nonprofit research.
