Nineteen morphotypes of chrysophyte stomatocysts are reported from Czarny Staw G¹sienicowy and Zmarz³y Staw G¹sienicowy lakes in the Dolina G¹sienicowa valley, Tatra National Park, Poland. Of these, four morphotypes are new to science, one is new to Europe, three are new to Poland and one is new to the Tatra Mts. All stomatocysts are documented by original descriptions, SEM micrographs, and information on their Polish and world distribution. The autecology of some stomatocysts found during the present study is reviewed and discussed.
