    En este artículo estudiamos una custodia de plata sobredorada que pertenece a la parroquia matriz de Santiago Apóstol, de Realejo Alto (Tenerife). La pieza, que procede de uno de los conventos desamortizados de la isla, pudo haber sido labrada a fines del siglo XVIII por Antonio Agustín Villavicencio, uno de los más importantes plateros que trabajaron en la ciudad de La Laguna en la segunda mitad de dicha centuria.

    In this article we study a golden silver monstrance that belongs to the parish church of Santiago Apóstol, in Realejo Alto (Tenerife). This piece, which comes from one of the convents that were closed in the Island, could have been worked by Antonio Agustín Villavicencio at the end of 18th century. This artist was one of the most outstanding silversmiths who worked in La Laguna in the second half of that century.
