La psicopatía -y, en concreto, los hechos delictivos cometidos por los delincuentes psicópatas- es una asignatura que tenemos pendiente los juristas. A día de hoy, no hay un criterio homogéneo sobre cómo acometer esta cuestión. Los juristas nos hemos dejado llevar, en cuanto al tratamiento que se debe dispensar a los psicópatas, por los resultados de las investigaciones en los ámbitos médico, psicológico y sociológico, olvidando que nuestro criterio y aportaciones pueden ser tan relevantes como los dimanantes de estas ciencias.

Psychopathy -and specifically, the criminal acts committed by psychopathic offenders- is a subject that we have outstanding jurists. Nowadays, there is a consistent approach on how to tackle this issue. The lawyers we have been guided, in the treatment that must be dispensed to psychopaths, from the results of research in the medical, psychological and sociological fields, forgetting that our approach and contributions can be as relevant as those arising from these sciences.
