The vascular surgery of the 21st century, with its increasing dependence on technology, entails many ethical challenges. Our obligation is to sustain ongoing reflection and debate in order to ensure that we do not drift away from the principles of ethics and humanism, where the patient is the focus point and ultimate aim of our professional activity.
