Resumen de The Two Provinces of Pylos
Since the section on the geography and place names of the Pylos tablets in Documents (pp. 141-145) was written, a number of studies have been published dealing directly or incidentally with this subject. Our rapidly increasing understanding of the material situation reflected in the Pylos tablets makes it necessary to reconsider some of the fundamental assumptions. It is also now possible to use evidence of a different kind, the extensive archaeological researches of W. A. McDonald and R. Hope Simpson, which have revealed in detail the distribution of Mycenaean sites in the South-Western Peloponnese.
