Bisexual branching processes (BBP) provide useful models in population dynamics studies, where the descendants are generated by a sexual mechanism. An important special case of these processes is the BBP with immigration of females and males.
This communication deals with the estimation of the o spring and immigration variance vectors for such a process. We assume that the immigrants are not observable and that we can only sample the number of females, males and couples (mating units) in each generation. We develop conditional least square estimators and derive their asymptotic limiting distributions and consistency in the supercritical case.
