En China la acupuntura se utiliza con frecuencia para el tratamiento de la paresia facial, a diferencia de Alemania, donde aún hay cierta reserva a la hora de recomendar esta terapia. El caso aquí ilustrado puede contribuir a que se recomiende la acupuntura con más insistencia para el tratamiento de esta enfermedad, también en los casos evidentemente más difíciles.

In China acupuncture is a frequently used tool in the treatment of facial paralysis, quite different from Germany, where patients strive towards acupuncture when the conventional treatment has shown no effects. The case presented may serve as an example of propagating acupuncture in the treatment of facial paralysis, even in quite severe cases.
