Resumen de Entre la euforia y el desaliento: las grandes aportaciones de Binet y su impacto en el diagnóstico psicopedagógico del siglo XX.

  El autor critica las frecuentes pero decepcionantes referencias a Alfredo Binet en nuestra cultura, analizando después con detalles su importante influjo en las técnicas modernas de diagnóstico, la Psicología y la Pedagogía, desde tres planos: a) Binet y el cambio de objetivos de la Psicología Diferencial y el diagnóstico de la inteligencia a comienzos del siglo XX; b) Perspectivas para la Psicopedagogía del Diagnóstico Escalar que propone Binet y c) La mitificación de la Escala de Inteligencia de Binet-Simón y los condicionamientos de la Psicología Diferencial y el Psicodiagnóstico durante la primera mitad del siglo XX.

  García Yagüe lo hace apoyado en una amplia bibliografía, que incluye varias publicaciones suyas sobre el tema, y en una numerosa reproducción de textos del propio Binet para confirmar las tesis propuestas. Los textos de Binet han sido traducidos de sus publicaciones originales por García Yagüe y los presenta en esta ocasión como respeto y homenaje a Alfredo Binet en el centenario de su muerte.

  The autor criticizes the frequent but disappointing references to Alfred Binet that can be found in our culture. He deeply analyzes as well in three levels, the significant influence Alfred Binet, has had into the modern Diferential Psicology, Education and Psycometric:-Binet and the change of objetives den Differential Psicology and the Psychodiagnostic of the intelligence at the beginning of the XX century.

  -Binet point of view about Scale Diagnosis and their contribution to Psychology and Psycometric.

  -The Mitification of the Binet-Simon Intelligence Scale and the condicioning factors of Differential Psycology and Psychodiagnosis during the first half of the XX century.

  García Yagüe supports his analysis with a wide bibliography, including several publications on the subject written by himself and with a large reproduction o Binet´s own texts that confirm the proposed thesis. These Binet texts have been translated from their original publications by Garcia Yagüe who would like to present them here with respect and as homage to Alfred Binet in the centenary of his death.
