Resumen de Traitement analogique et traitement propositionnel des rotations mentales chez les enfants IMC

Marc Zabalia

  • Postulating two processing systems in spatial relations, analogical and propositional, this research examines the possibility of evoking these processing modes and the conditions of their appearance in specific contexts by children with cerebral palsy. Children performed mental rotation tasks that required one or the other processing mode. The investigation showed that children with cerebral palsy use both modes of representation in spite of difficulties with propositional processing in sequential tasks. These findings could account for certain observations concerning spatial processing in children with cerebral palsy.
