In order to establish that structuralism is the moment that marks French philosophy in the second half of the XX century, the author arguments: a) that structuralism must be inscribed in the field of philosophy, even if some of the names that are related to this movement are non-philosophers, for philosophy is defined for its incorporation of that which seems strange to it; b) that what is considered as post-structuralism is already present in structuralism since its very beginning.
